INCEPTION:
Final year of the high schools pushes the students into a new phase of their life where they are to decide between the available choices to them according to their human potential. Those who aspires to be graduated decide to go after a four year university degree while others are leaned towards the advancement of their career in employment field.
Those students who are after this transition is because of the inherent prospective in receiving a degree from some technical college. Here are mentioned five major advantages of going to a technical college instead of a university.
1. CAREER ORIENTATION AS A FOCAL POINT:
Students who aspire to work in their major can get this opportunity in a technical college. They can focus on the important stuff without getting frustrated in learning other courses that are not relevant to their field. Students who pursue their degree in university must have to go through hours in general education such as History, English and other languages that are least concerned to a technical career. These students, due to their least interest in these courses can take help from services like “buy college essay” to ace these courses. You’re occupied with stack of other work. You feel highly unmotivated(eazyresearchwp, 2020)
i. ACTION ORIENTED TRAINING:
Training programs offered at a technical college is much more action oriented as compared to the one that is being offered at a university. This is so because the utmost goal of university is to develop academic skills while the technical colleges are oriented to develop practical skills required in the workplace. So these students develop the skills and experience required in particular career by graduation.
ii. NO LAPSE OF TIME:
Four year degree programs offer admissions schedule which are fixed. In case students, due to some technicalities, miss the time allotted for admission procedures to be completed, they have to wait for a new academic year. All the universities have specific schedule for the beginning of an academic year. This is not the case with technical colleges as their programs are almost running the whole year round. Some of these schools start their new sessions every few weeks. Hence there is no lapse of time.
2. FEASIBLE COMPLIANCY OF THE STUDENTS:
Not all the students have conventional adaptability. Such students, when are admitted in a school that requires a traditional profile, they fail to jell in. They loose the track because of the fact that they lack in actual resources required to maintain a traditional profile. Often these students resort to buy persuasive essay online so as to maintain their conventional profile during their academic career.
Technical colleges are feasible for such students, to adopt themselves, who somehow struggled through their previous performance atschool. They only focus on the mere fact that students are holding a diploma after all without jumping directly into the grades produced by the student so far. They hunt the actual potential of the students knowing that everyone is lacking in one way or the other.
i. VERSATILE APPLICANTS:
Technical colleges home a variety of students coming from divergent backgrounds. They are not always young students just passed out of a high school. They may be mature people having kids. These students find a perfect place to resume their learning process even after many years. These colleges accommodate their schedules in compliance with their students if in case they are parents or doing some job otherwise. Instructors should be cognizant of the issues, such as dependent families and work schedules that non-traditional students often bring to the classroom (Lloyd-Smith, 2010)
3. LESS BURDEN ON PACKETS:
A technical diploma from a technical college puts much less burden on pockets as compared to college degree which spans four years. The nature of the learning is skill based so a student is not required to purchase a bundle of books with every changing semester. Moreover the duration of these technical programs are shorter than the degree that spans four complete years in a go.
Then the accommodation cost of a university is yet another financial burden. The transportation cost, books and time invested all add to make a huge financial burden. Time is a burden because remember the saying time is money.
i. IT GENERATES INCOME:
As is already mentioned how landing in a technical school minimizes burden on one hand ensuring a student acquire less debt while on the other hand it is also a source of income. It allows a student to escape sitting in a classroom for hours and hours in a row throughout these years. Students can pursue their career of their choice and start supporting their families, themselves and save a handsome money for home.
4. COMPACT CLASSES ARE CONNECTIVE MEDIUM:
The size of the classes at university level are huge to accommodate hundreds of students. It creates complexities in students’ understanding of the lecture. However technical colleges are small sized which ensures interaction between students and instructor.
So they can secure a constructive criticism for their students. This criticism is needed in getting experience in many fields like dental assisting or therapeutic massage etc. This close interaction is crucial in polishing the real potential of a student. Technical colleges create a personal linkage environment which drives towards generating a social capital workable in professional life.
5. A ROAD MAP TOWARDS THE CAREER OF CHOICE:
Technical colleges are designed so as to guide the students in pursuance of their career.Career guidance is surely being provided by all the universities as well but technical colleges are more oriented to this requirement. The staff members there, are trained this way. Further they conduct workshops at intervals to be more dedicated to this goal. Often these colleges have their links in the field work. This helps the students to get access to these companies and get hired, if they spot a spark in students. Often the students attending technical collegesend up in getting some job somewhere, after graduation.
CONCLUSION:
It is not intended here to hold the university degree in all contempt. The purpose of discussion here is to maintain the fact that technical education offers major benefits to students who are interested in entering into a career.
